Silmara Connors
Silmara (Sil) Connors is a Project Coordinator and Office Manager at DRK Foundation, where she supports the foundation’s portfolio organizations through a range of board, organizational, and communications capacity-building initiatives.
She partners with the Operating Partner and Chief Organizational Effectiveness Officer, Dr. Anika Warren Wood, and the Director of Capacity Building Initiatives, Kim Koontz, to coordinate projects focused on board sourcing and other capacity-building efforts. She helps our portfolio organizations strengthen their visibility and impact through collaboration with the Chief Communications Officer, Kathryn Shehade and the Communications team on amplification initiatives and the Associate Director of Legal Operations and Fund Management, Kristina Hudelson, on grant management processes. In addition to her portfolio support work, Sil manages operations for DRK’s Boston office, helping ensure the coordination of administrative and office functions.
Before joining DRK, Sil worked as a personal assistant, providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to families throughout the greater Boston area. Her experience included managing complex schedules, coordinating travel, overseeing vendor relationships, and planning events. She is trilingual and speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English. Silmara holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts and is completing an MBA in Project Management at Southern New Hampshire University in 2026.
