Sanam Bhakta

Sanam works with the DRK team to identify and support innovative social entrepreneurs, contributing to deal sourcing, diligence, and ongoing portfolio engagement. In addition to being part of the deal team, she also leads elements of follow-on funding strategy for portfolio organizations.

Prior to joining DRK, Sanam advised leaders across diverse sectors at CCS Fundraising, a nonprofit fundraising consulting firm. Deeply committed to expanding access to care, she also co-founded Bridged Health, a nonprofit focused on improving health education and equity in underserved communities.

Sanam holds an MBA from Texas Tech University, where she also completed two years of medical school coursework before shifting her full-time focus to social impact, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Business from the University of Texas at Austin.
