JR works with the DRK team to create multimedia content that aligns with the Foundation’s mission and effectively showcases its impact to diverse audiences.
JR is an accomplished editor, producer, and writer with a dynamic career spanning television, documentary, and commercial projects. With expertise in storytelling and post-production, JR has contributed to a wide array of celebrated programs, including Welcome to Plathville (TLC/Max), The Real Hatfields & McCoys (Fox Nation), Geraldo Rivera’s Murder in the Family (REELZ), and Fastest Cars in the Dirty South (Discovery). His versatility shines in scripted and unscripted formats, from editing award-winning documentaries to shaping captivating narratives for reality television. JR’s creative vision has also been pivotal in the conception of independent film projects like Springtime in Wieliczka, podcasts, and corporate campaigns for brands such as Walmart, General Mills, and Yoplait.
Over the years, JR’s has been recognized with prestigious awards, including multiple Emmy Awards for Outstanding Editing and Post Production, an Edward R. Murrow Award for News Documentary Editing, and a Telly Gold Award for Craft Editing. Known for his innovative musical arrangements, visual effects, and collaborative storytelling, JR continues to bring compelling stories to life across diverse genres and platforms.
JR is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Theory, a certificate in Philosophy, and certificates in Audio Engineering and Music Business from the Omega School of Applied Recording Arts.
