Daniel Torres Balauro
Senior Analyst
Daniel works with the DRK team to identify and support innovative social entrepreneurs.
Prior to DRK, Daniel founded the American Samoa Climate Action Network, an island-based initiative promoting the inclusion of U.S. Pacific Territories within federal environmental affairs. As Executive Director, Daniel worked with federal policy-makers to strengthen climate resiliency in the Insular Areas and successfully launched a youth fellowship empowering Pacific youth to engage in environmental policy. Daniel also served as the Strategic Operations Advisor for Inclusive America, where he worked on policies to advance equitability in the political appointee process and united a bipartisan coalition of 200+ national organizations and former Cabinet members for the #PledgeForDiversity campaign.
Daniel graduated from Swarthmore College, where he majored in Environmental Policy. While at Swarthmore, Daniel was a President’s Sustainability Research Fellow, UNFCCC COP26 Delegate, and Executive Board Member of the First-Generation Low Income Student Council.
