Kate Klinger
Kate Klinger serves as the Managing Director of DRK/MCJ New Jersey Initiatives, a collaboration between DRK and MCJ Amelior Foundation. In this role, she takes a uniquely place-based approach to supporting DRK portfolio organizations to meet New Jersey’s most pressing social and economic needs, with a focus on the city of Newark.
Previously, Kate served as the Chief Systems Transformation Officer at Newark Alliance, where she led cross-sector strategies to advance economic mobility, environmental quality and health outcomes for Newark residents. She has also served under Governor Murphy as Senior Policy Advisor and Director of the Office of Climate Action and the Green Economy, heading up the state’s policy work on climate, environment, energy and green workforce development, and as Vice President for Client Services at the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative.
Kate resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband, two children and one crazy dog. She holds a Master of Public Health from Drexel University.
