Imagine Worldwide Featured on BBC's People Fixing The World

Imagine Worldwide is empowering children in sub-Saharan Africa with the foundational literacy and numeracy skills needed to achieve their full potential. In partnership with governments and local communities, Imagine Worldwide supplies portable tablets that provide a complete, research-based curriculum, adapting to each child’s pace, progress, and cultural and linguistic context. Their solution is affordable, effective, and is designed for nationwide scale to serve Africa’s most marginalized children.

BBC’s People Fixing the World highlighted the Building Education Foundations through Innovation and Technology (BEFIT) tablet program as a breakthrough innovation for education in Malawi, where almost 90% of children are unable to read a simple sentence by age 10. This initiative is led by the Government of Malawi and supported by Imagine Worldwide. With Imagine Worldwide’s design, testing, and implementation support, the program will serve nearly 4 million children every year across all 6,000 schools in Malawi.
