Struggling with addiction, living in a shelter, unemployed and having lost custody of her daughter, Toya was hired by the Empowerment Plan as part of their unique program to find sustainable solutions to homelessness. Today, she has a degree, a solid job and has rebuilt a strong relationship with her daughter.
