Gregg Treinish spent his early twenties doing things like hiking the Appalachian Trail and leading groups of teenagers through Southern Utah’s Escalante Wilderness. Later, he spent 22 months traversing the Andes. Ashoka’s Michael Zakaras caught up with Treinish to hear how these experiences gave rise to a game-changing insight and to Adventure Scientists, the Bozeman-based organization he founded and leads.
